The Alameda Corridor has received high praise from officials
at all levels of government.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta called the Alameda
Corridor "one of America's most significant transportation
projects."
Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn said: "This is the model
for the country on how to do public works projects."
House Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier declared the
Alameda Corridor to be the "Silk Road of the Third Millennium."
Governor Gray Davis said: "It's an engineering marvel
that will be studied all over the world."
