Project Description/Overview

Based on the reduction in container traffic, the emphasis has been shifted to improving the seismic capacity of the existing Badger Bridge. Items under review include possibly lowering the towers and counterweights to match the reduced fixed span clearance of the new Schuyler Heim Bridge and upgrading the seismic resistance of the towers, bridge and foundation system.
